Session Abstract

Join us as we dive into the real-world stories of developers who have adopted GitHub Copilot. We'll share the highs and lows from theory to practical lessons learned, what has worked and what has surprised us in adopting AI-powered coding buddy across various industries, cultures and regions. We'll explore best practices, practical tips for getting started, training effectively, and squeezing the most out of Copilot, all while navigating cultural and technical challenges. Whether you're just curious or already using GitHub Copilot, this session will provide you with insights and tips to make your Copilot journey smoother and more productive.

We have two awesome, experienced co-presenters lined up to share their insights and experience with us.

  • Veli-Matti Vanamo
  • Veli serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Insight Enterprises in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, where he drives the strategic technology direction, creation of intellectual property, and development of go-to-market strategies, emerging technologies and partnerships within the region.

    Veli is a frequent speaker at both local and global industry conferences, author of three books and technology advisor to boards & customer advisory groups. Veli has driven Inner sourcing and global adoption initiatives internally for 1500 AI-paired developers and is the regional champion for adoption of GenAI tools and software, including GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot, Azure Security Copilot and Einstein AI.

  • Dul Wimalatissa
  • Dul is a Principal Consultant at Insight Enterprises with over 15 years’ experience working in enterprise application development and integration. Dul has worked across a wide range of industries including Higher Education, Health, Financial Services, Mining and Utilities.

    Dul is passionate about supporting organisations in the adoption of disruptive technology and has assisted both Insight and external organisations on their GitHub Copilot adoption journeys.
